EDIT: This book is no longer for sale, but I’ve kept this post up for historical purposes.

I’m very pleased to announce the upcoming release of what I believe to be my best creation yet – The Young Entrepreneur’s Guide to Business, Finance, and Life.

While aimed for younger entrepreneurs (students, or people who have graduated college only to find their degree is worthless) the content within this book will be beneficial for anyone looking to create a business. The book is not just about business however – it also covers other important aspects of an entrepreneur’s life on the road to becoming rich, including personal finance, investing, and moving into the real world.

This book is quite different than my other book, as it focuses more on the business backend and finance, where my other book focuses more as an introduction to blogging. This book is also 2.5x longer, coming in near 35,000 words, around 150 pages! It’s an incredible value at $9.99, as many other authors on this subject charge way higher prices for less than half the content.

For the right person, this book is an incredible investment. While the book on its own will not make you a success, if you actually utilize the knowledge within the book, you are already ahead of most other entrepreneurs and have a way better chance of achieving your goals.

  1. Hi James,

I’m impressed with your work and your fervent desire to correct conventional thinking…thinking that only serve to enslave, demean and actually make it’s adherents wind up poorer.

While the content of the eBook is apt (as it is), it would be a great idea including the arguments of college adherents and at the same time, debunking them…many a college student gets convinced with such arguments that never serve them in the end. It’s about time such students listen to a different gospel.

Aside this, I can see a work of genius in the making!

    Do make the day great!

    Always,

    1. Hi Akaahan! Good to see you again.

I appreciate you taking the time to give your input. Thankfully I debunk the myths and hype around college early on and make the reader aware that the entire purpose of college is to make more money in the end – not for the “college experience” or whatever the media tries to sell to kids these days.

I think in the future I’ll probably write another book just on college itself for people that do want to go, that will go into more detail about choosing a valuable college and a valuable degree that will actually provide a good return on investment. Early on this book I convince entrepreneurs NOT to take out loans to attend college unless they plan on majoring in one specific area (that will actually help them in entrepreneurship.)

The way I look at this now though, each buyer is another soul saved from the monster that is student loan debt. 😀

Thanks again Akaahan, appreciate you taking the time to comment!

  2. Hi James,

So great that you wrote this book, especially for younger people. It sure will show them the reality of the world and how finance works. Especially those who believe the biggest business – college – that has people believing that one needs it to succeed. Well that may be true for a small percentage of people, but not the rest.

I’ve always seen college as a huge business platform that mesmerized the general population that it is needed. People go into debt only to come out finding that there isn’t any job placement for them. To me it’s a dream killer. I was so happy when you quit and went on with your business.

I do believe that people need choices. Especially the younger generation.

The world has changed a lot. Many years ago one was guaranteed a position if they had a college education. But that was such a long time ago…decades!!! By your personal experience, and brilliant mind, this book will be able to save others and help them understand clearly what the real deal is all about.

I’m with you all the way. I’m a mom and when my kids were ready for college, I gave them a choice. One of them was serious and wanted to become a product designer…she is now successful at it. But she went to learn all the how to’s. The rest….It was one big party and in the end, they went on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

Very exited for your up coming book and I know it will be successful.

    1. Hi Donna!

I agree with you completely. I think people are pressured into college unnecessarily and while I think it is definitely a great option for some people (so long as they don’t major in something stupid) it’s definitely not for everybody and it definitely was not for me. I chose entrepreneurship over college and with this book I hope to provide some guidance for people who have followed my same path.

This is part of today’s problem, and I wrote in my book why this fact alone makes it so hard for people to convince their parents that college isn’t the only road to success. Successful parents who went to college? They want you to follow in their footsteps, thinking college will make you successful as well. Unsuccessful parents who didn’t go to college? You better go so you don’t end up like they did! It’s hard to break out of because many parents do not realize that the world they grew up in is not the same world that exists today.

Really looking forward to saving people’s financial lives with this book!

      Thanks Donna for your support!

  3. Hi James,

Wow – that sound like mega-value, and you’ve certainly done it yourself, rather than preaching from theory as so many others do.

I agree with Akaahan, it would be good to rebut the “pro-college” camp, although you’ve probably got that covered in the section on “My Parents Are Forcing Me To Go To College!”

Many of the sections sound relevant to anyone in business, no just young people.

    1. Hi Joy!

I appreciate your support. Entrepreneurship over college was a path I took myself so I’m hoping this book will provide some guidance to people who have chosen to take a similar path to me. The way I see it, this book is a way better value at $9.99 than $1000 for a college course and $250 for a textbook that will be worthless next year.

I debunk a lot of the college myths and smack the reader with reality pretty early on. I believe that if you’re going to borrow somebody else’s money, you should be doing so to make more in the long run. Sadly that is not the case for many students today who are majoring in worthless programs.

One of the places I’ll be selling my book on is Smashwords. The affiliate commission for all of my books is 50%.

If you’re interested, I’ll send you a free copy of the book as soon as it’s released and we can talk about it further. I really appreciate your interest!

      Thanks Joy!

  4. Hi James,

    Congrats dude!

I see immense value in this book because as noted, folks often get degrees then drift around for years after going to school. I was in the same boat. For many, many years. After getting clear I changed course but before then I struggled like hell.

Your book will provide young turks with a framework to use, to chart their course. In areas of business and finance most people are completely lost. Young, old, in between. Fab job spotting a pressing area to address.

    Well done dude!!

    1. Thanks Ryan!

I think it’s really important to have a clear cut vision on what you plan on doing after college if you’re going to borrow money to go. Some people decide that they want to major in a certain area but do not take the time to research the job prospects, or they just don’t care. Sadly, these people become slaves to student loan debt and they have nobody to blame but themselves.

I’m very glad knowing that this book will help people plan out their lives and build out a path to successful entrepreneurship should they wish to do so.

Thanks Ryan for visiting and leaving your comment!
